Light PaintingLight Painting is a type of photography and in my opinion one my favourite type of photos it is done by a normal camera but the person in the pictures stays in the same position but moves whilst the picture is taken this happens because of a flash in the image freezes the subject i.e the person is still but actully moves and because of the flash it captures all the movement of the light but the person won't move on the picture e.g on the left.
What you need.You need:
1.A Digital Camera with a timed shutter 2.A Tripod 3.Some finger lights 4.A dark background [dark prevents too much light] 5.A Flash gun or a flash source |

Editing photos
When TakenThis is the photo which I thought was good but could of been better.
In my opinion there are some positives like the main light has come out really well. There is also a negative there is sought of too much light around the side of the light travel. |
After editedThis is the photo after I edited what I have done is i've lowered the amount of exposure so the photo is darker but there is not as much exposure so it is darker but in my opinion the photo is sought of better because the amount of light around the side is lowered and also it adds an effect the overall amount of light.

The photo which went well. This is one of the photos which I took which went really well and I think the reason that it went well is first the 15 second's exposure and also the ISO at 200 which didn't let to much light out during the exposure.
My favourite bit of the picture is the red on how it forms all the triangles in a row I possibly think if there was something to improve this picture it is possibly keep the triangles but possibly spread out around the side. |
Photo which could of gone better. This is the photo which I was in which could of gone better because maybe not much light got let through because it is on ISO of 200 but it is still very dark the picture so possibly I should of kept on going with the picture with the but that might of led to too much light being exposed so basically if I could take this photo I would use the torch for longer,I would possibly spread the light out and possibly stand in a more interesting position to make the photo look more interesting.

Light painting attemptOn the right is a bunch of attempts at Light painting where I've used my Airfix model tanks, soldiers and ships.
The painting's with the ships are staging morse code lights. I used HMS King George V, HMS Ark Royal, HMS Suffolk, Battleship Bismarck, Tiger Tank, German Soliders, Canon Camera, Key ring torch |

From these photos i've learnt:
- The longer the exposure the more you can get from the torch [i.e light source]..
- If you use to much light the photo might come out to bright.
- You have to use an tripod to keep the camera still
- I learn't this from sir you can do it on Ipads aswell
